If Dominic Moore is worth a 2nd rounder, Hemsky is easily worth a 1st rounder. |

If Dominos Moore is worth a 2nd rounder, Hemsky is worth 2 - 1st round picks. The market must really suck for this to happen. Teams are desperate. |

Teams are desperate because there are so many buyers and so few sellers. Contenders better hope that the bubble teams really go to the skids in the next 10 days so that the become sellers.

Moore was great for the Bolts in last year's playoffs. He also did really well with the Habs two years ago.
It was reported several weeks ago that the asking price for him would be a 2nd rounder. |

Would you take Blum and a 1st for Hemsky? |

I believe that's now the third time in his career that Dom Moore has been dealt for a 2nd-rounder. |

Why deal Blum if there's a chance Suter doesn't return? |

Its pretty sad that hemsky is one of the best available players, no wonder their is no trading going on. That being said is he even a first liner on any contending team ???? He's not even a 1st liner on a last place team, maybe in L.A. but i can't see how his 4 goals are the answer to that problem. |

Yup...
Signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
2010/02/11 Florida Panthers traded Dominic Moore to the Montreal Canadiens for 2nd-round draft pick in 2011.
2009/10/04 Signed as a free agent by the Florida Panthers.
2009/03/04 Toronto Maple Leafs traded Dominic Moore to the Buffalo Sabres for a 2nd round selection in 2009.
2008/01/11 Toronto Maple Leafs claimed Dominic Moore off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.
2007/02/27 Pittsburgh Penguins traded Dominic Moore to the Minnesota Wild for a 3rd round selection in 2007.
2006/07/19 New York Rangers traded Dominic Moore to the Nashville Predators for Adam Hall....then Nashville traded Dominic Moore and Libor Pivko to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a 3rd round selection in 2007.
2000/06/24 Drafted by the New York Rangers in the 3rd round (95th overall) in 2000.
he's been to a lot of teams. |

Barker won't get traded because no one wants him, even in a package deal it's iffy. Oil won't resign him in the summer |

Correct me if I'm wrong oilies:
Untochables: Hall, Eberle, RNH, 2012 1st RP
Not going anywhere: Smyth, Lander, Gilbert, Whitney, Sutton, Petry,
Likely not going anywhere: Ganger, Porter
Keep but listen if good deal: Belanger, Jones, Smid,
On the Block: Hemsky, Barkner, Peckham, Both goalies |

Because if the Preds don't make some kind of play for a top 6 forward, Suter is gone. I am not for one second saying that getting Hemsky, would get Suter to re-sign but tt would be a step in the right direction. Look the Preds need to do something to add some offense and they have plenty of D prospects that can step in if the unthinkable (but prolly likely) happens and we lose Suter. Blum is the next D man that could come up and play this year and has shown that he can be a quality D man (playoffs last year). |

I'd move Gagner to the not going anywhere and potter to keep but listen if good deal. Other than that, pretty much nailed it |

Probably trying to keep it realistic but a team that is rebuilding outside of Hall, RNH, Eberle and their 1st this year I don't think there should really be many untouchables. |
